Our T-Level in Media, Broadcast & Production gives students the opportunity to develop their creative and technical skills through real filmmaking experience.
Working alongside our industry partner, Warehouse Dog Film Lab, students will experience the complete production process – from developing an initial idea and planning a shoot to working on set, post-production and releasing finished films.
Students will work with industry professionals, take on real production roles and develop original film projects while building a professional portfolio of credited work.
Alongside practical filmmaking, students will explore the wider creative and media industries, including storytelling, audiences, research, project management, professional standards and content creation across moving image, audio, photography and written platforms.
To enrol in the T-Level course, students must have achieved a minimum of 5 Grade 4s at GCSE, including English and Maths. For those who do not meet the entry criteria, there is an option to study a foundation year in preparation for the T-Level, extending the program to three years in total. At D6, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of media professionals. Our T-Level in Media, Broadcast & Production provides a unique blend of academic rigor and practical experience, preparing students for success in this dynamic industry.

Your English and maths GCSEs must be at least grade 4.
At least five 4s at GCSE. A grade 4 in math, English language, or literature, and a grade 3 in the other subjects is required.

Industry placements are a cornerstone of our program, facilitated by a network of local media production companies. With our longstanding relationships with national and international award winning filmmakers, students will have the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience during 9 weeks (350 hours) of placement.
Through practical experiences and classroom learning, students will develop a range of employability skills highly sought after in the media industry, including teamwork, communication, problemsolving, and adaptability.
