D6 Open Evening 2025

Darwen Sixth Form (D6) welcomed a large number of prospective students and their families to our Open Evening, offering an insight into life, learning and opportunities at the Sixth Form.

The evening provided visitors with the chance to explore our facilities, meet staff and current students, and find out more about the wide range of academic courses and enrichment opportunities available. It was brilliant to see so many engaging conversations taking place throughout the building, with visitors keen to learn more about their next steps after Year 11.

Subject areas were represented across the Sixth Form, with staff on hand to discuss course content, expectations and progression routes. Students also played a key role on the evening, sharing their own experiences of studying at D6 and offering a valuable perspective on Sixth Form life.

The atmosphere throughout the evening was positive and enthusiastic, reflecting the strong sense of community that makes Darwen Sixth Form such a supportive and aspirational place to study.

We hope all visitors left feeling informed and inspired about the opportunities available at D6.
