Our Sixth Form students recently visited Lancaster University Library as part of their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) research.
The trip gave students the opportunity to explore a wide range of academic resources and experience a university learning environment first-hand. They made the most of the visit by developing their independent research skills, learning how to access and use scholarly materials effectively, and deepening their understanding of how to study at a higher level.
For many students, it was also their first experience of a university library, providing valuable insight into the expectations and demands of undergraduate study. The visit helped to strengthen their confidence and support the development of key skills needed for their EPQ projects and future studies.
Overall, it was an inspiring and productive day that marked an important step forward in their EPQ journey and broader academic development.
