D6 Army Experience Day

On Tuesday 14th October, we welcomed representatives from the British Army into school for an exciting Army Experience Day and careers session with our Year 12 students.

The visit began with an engaging talk exploring the wide range of career pathways and opportunities available through the Army — from apprenticeships and technical roles to leadership and specialist positions. Students gained valuable insight into the skills, training and personal development that come with a career in the Armed Forces.

Following the talk, students took part in a series of team challenges designed to test their problem-solving, communication and resilience. These practical activities encouraged teamwork and leadership, while helping students build confidence and discover new strengths.

It was fantastic to see our students embracing the challenge and working together with such enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to the British Army for delivering such an inspiring and hands-on experience, and well done to all our Year 12 students who took part so positively throughout the day.
